Elizabeth Insalaco – Artistic Director
Eliz abeth Insalaco began dancing at age 2 1/2 with her mother, the late Sally Riggs Insalaco, at Studio One for the Performing Arts. She completed 16 years of study at Studio One and after graduating from NLR High School, Elizabeth began studies at San Francisco State University in California. While there she also studied at Studio 10 Dance with Keith Banks, the coach of Nick Lazzarini, winner of So You Think You Can Dance. Elizabeth graduated from San Francisco State University with degrees in Dance Education and Cinematography. Immediately following graduation, Elizabeth became a certified public high school teacher and taught the Dance Program at Hillsdale High School in South San Francisco where she also coached the Cheerleading Team and Dance Team. Elizabeth then moved to Los Angeles and taught at some of the best schools including Reflections in Dance, the Ballet Barre Dance Academy and became a company member of the Funky Diva’s. Elizabeth’s also worked in Television production including Lifetime’s “Designing Women Reunion”, UPN Network’s “Half and Half”, ABC’s “According to Jim” and TNT’s “Saving Grace”. Elizabeth then served as producer of the film “You” starring Melora Hardin of the TV Hit “The Office” and then served and production coordinator for the recently released theatrical film, “War Eagle, Arkansas”. Elizabeth’s love for dance began with her mother, Sally Riggs Insalaco, and she returned home to follow in those footsteps. She honor’s her mother memory with the opening of Studio 1 Dance. |
Dennis Glasscock is a well-known actor and teacher. His career spans over 25 years in professional theatre, from national touring companies to regional and local theatres. He has won numerous awards for excellence in performance and choreography. Mr. Glasscock teaches dance and fitness classes, and directs a summer Young Actors Theatre Camp. He performed with Arkansas Festival Ballet in Peter Pan as Captain Hook. |
Lisa Harper, has over 11 years in dance education and brings her passion for dance to Studio 1. Miss Lisa performed and studied with the Henderson State University Dance Company with principle training in ballet and Pointe until her gradation from college. She also taught for Arkadelphia School of Dance, Malvern High School and Ouachita Baptist University Trio Foundation. Miss Lisa loves to teach and impart her passions of dance through instruction, motivation, encouragement and knowledge of the art of dance. |
Laura McNeil has over 10 years of dance experience in Hip Hop, Jazz and Modern and 5 years of competitive dance. She was also a University of Utah Cheerleader and choreographed national routines for drill teams and cheerleading squads throughout the state of Utah. |
